Obediance

(#1-AMD) “The knowledge which we seek, the answers for which we yearn, and the strength which we desire today to meet the challenges of a complex and changing world can be ours when we willingly obey the Lord’s commandments. I quote once again the words of the Lord: “He that keepeth [God’s] commandments receiveth truth and light, until he is glorified in truth and knoweth all things.” Doctrine and Covenants 93:28.

(#2-AMD) “There is no need for you or for me, in this enlightened age when the fullness of the gospel has been restored, to sail uncharted seas or to travel unmarked roads in search of truth. A loving Heavenly Father has plotted our course and provided an unfailing guide—even obedience. A knowledge of truth and the answers to our greatest questions come to us as we are obedient to the commandments of God.” "Obedience Brings Blessings" by President Thomas S Monson, April 2013, General Conference, http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/04/obedience-brings-blessings?lang=eng

(#3-AMD)“If we live the laws properly, as they are intended, we will, with another individual and with our family, be able to have a little heaven on earth. We are practicing, when we live the laws pertaining to celestial marriage, the same laws that are practiced in heaven. We are practicing how to live with God the Father and his Son and with our families in the eternities to come.” "Celestial Marriage: A Little Heaven on Earth" by Elder Robert D Hales November 1976 BYU Devotional

(#4-AMD) “The Savior demonstrated genuine love of God by living the perfect life, by honoring the sacred mission that was His. Never was He haughty. Never was He puffed up with pride. Never was He disloyal. Ever was He humble. Ever was He sincere. Ever was He obedient.” "Obedience Brings Blessings" by President Thomas S Monson" April 2013 http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/04/obedience-brings-blessings?lang=eng

(#5-AMD)“Just as order gave life and beauty to the earth when it was dark and void, so it does to us. Obedience helps us develop the full potential Heavenly Father desires for us in becoming celestial beings worthy some day to live in His presence.” "Obedience The Path to Freedom" by President James E Faust May 1999  http://www.lds.org/ensign/1999/05/obedience-the-path-to-freedom

(#6-AMD) The greatest single lesson we can learn in mortality is that when God speaks and a man obeys, that man will always be right.” "The Call of Duty" by President Thomas S Monson April 1986 https://www.lds.org/general-conference/1986/04/the-call-of-duty?lang=eng

(#7-AMD) “However much faith to obey God we now have, we will need to strengthen it continually and keep it refreshed constantly. We can do that by deciding now to be more quick to obey and more determined to endure. Learning to start early and to be steady are the keys to spiritual preparation. Procrastination and inconsistency are its mortal enemies.” "Spiritual Preparedness: Start Early and Be Steady" by President Henry B Eyring October 2005 http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2005/10/spiritual-preparedness-start-early-and-be-steady?lang=eng

(#8-AMD) “What marvelous things happen when men and women walk with faith in obedience to that which is required of them! I recall reading the story of Commander William Robert Anderson, the naval officer who took the submarine Nautilus beneath the polar ice from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, a daring and dangerous feat. It recounted a number of other exploits of similar danger and concluded with a statement that the commander carried in his wallet a tattered card that had on it these words: “I believe God will always make a way where there is no way.” I too believe that God will always make a way where there is no way. I believe that if we will walk in obedience to the commandments of God, if we will follow the counsel of the priesthood, he will open a way even where there appears to be no way.” "If Ye Be Willing and Obedient" by President Gordon B Hinckley July 1995 http://www.lds.org/ensign/1995/07/if-ye-be-willing-and-obedient?lang=eng

(#10-AMD) “As the teachings of the Savior are consistently obeyed, life will be beautiful, the future secure, and there will be capacity to overcome the challenges that cross our path.“ "The Transforming Power of Faith and Character" by Elder Richard G Scott October 2010 http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2010/10/the-transforming-power-of-faith-and-character?lang=eng

(#11-AMD) "“Above all, have faith in the Savior! Fear not! As we diligently live the gospel, we become strong in the Lord… In the strength of the Lord we are able to stand against any philosophy or creed that denies the Savior and contradicts the great, eternal plan of happiness for all of God’s children.” by Elder Robert D Hales, April 2013 "Stand Strong in Holy Places" http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/04/stand-strong-in-holy-places?lang=eng#watch=video
